This was both an attempt to create something Rancor-ish and give the possibly ill-fated Essence Meld some ammo. The flying was added to make it a better counterpart to Demonic Strength (see Black section of this forum) than Holy Strength is to Unholy Strength... but I kind of think Demonic Strength is too powerful.

I love it, the +1/+2 with flying makes it seem like the creature is riding a Pegasus.

If that's how we are going to flavor it, why not this.

The only thing it ains by being an aura is some interaction with Essence Meld, and the more I think about it, the less I like that card. Though your version is a little better against discard.

The "flaying" typo made me laugh a bit. "Flay" or "Flaying" seems like it could be a Wither-ish mechanic!

I like the idea of colored equipment and have played around with trying to design a cycle of them with the hybrid costs. I feel like the Aura pair would be better either both as Auras or both as Equipment, though. I kind of like the Aura idea better but they do play more like Equipment... so I dunno.
