I think we can all agree that a bonesplitter variant is needed in this cube. Sadly if you fiddle with the numbers on Bonesplitter it either becomes crap (leonin schimitar, trusty machette) or it would be way too good. So we need to look for another way of messing with the equip.

I enjoy the 2 life version at sorcery speed because three life is a lot more.

This is one of my favorite cards so far by the way.

This is the version I like the best. The 2 life makes more sense since it fits the +2/+0 better, and it's already really powerful enough without making you able to do instant-speed tricks with it. In fact, The cost should possibly be if this is still too good.

Definitely like this. Elegant and nice. Although I dislike the name. D= I would like it call it something like Grafted Blade, but the name Grafted already has it's own baggage. Maybe something like Stitch Blade/Stitched Blade/Stitcher Blade?

Well what deffnition of "too good" are we going by? By Wotc's pov Bonesplitter is too good. But I think it's safe to say that we (cubers) feel the card is balanced.

We're not playing by WOTC's standards, we're playing by a almost powered cube's standards.

What if we did this.

Equipped creature gets +2/+0 and has trample
Equip: 0
During your upkeep, Masochist's Hammer deals 1 damage to you.

I like the simplicity of +2/+0, 2 life sorcery speed. Everything else I'm trying to figure out in my head seems too powerful. On the other hand, equipping for free in aggro is even better than Bonesplitter. I would be willing to make it a 2-cost equipment if it proved to be too powerful.

Name suggestion: Barbed Hammer.
